Holy LUNGE!

THREE reasons to CELEBRATE today: 1. It's SUNNY!! ☀️ 2. I tried Roasted Beet hummus & it's surprisingly AMAZE-BALLS!! (At Costco, y'all!) 🤷🏼‍♀️ ANNNNND... 3. I can LUNGE! On my LEFT LEG!! 🎉🎉🎉 This last one is HUGE!! My face: FREAKING OUT because the last time I could lunge on my left leg was almost 8 years ago!! 🤗 EIGHT YEARS AGO!! 👈🏼 I injured my knee pretty horribly in the second-to-last game of my LAST season playing college soccer. The strain had made my left knee ENTIRELY screwed up & ANY SORT of lunge resulted in an intense & painful pressure. 😩 I haven't done more than a half lunge in YEARS because whenever I tried to go deeper, it felt like my knee was going to SNAP! 💥 But, in the last six months, I've been able to start slowly putting a little more depth back into my lunges. I've practiced & I've gained back even more strength EVERY SINGLE MONTH. 💪🏼 And I'm happy to say that for the last three weeks or so, I have been able to LUNGE! Not just at 90 degrees but ALSO I've been able to do a series of Single Leg Lunges & Squats that would have NEVER been possible before!! 🙌🏼 I'm in AWE of the "chronic problems" I have & that just keep disappearing the longer I take care of my body. 🙋🏼 Add my KNEE to the already LOOOONG list!! 👏🏼😍👌🏼🎉❤️ & REJOICE with me!
