Wrinkles

Its time to talk WRINKLES. 💁🏼‍♀️ #momlife

“Mom, why does your brain have lines in it?!” Austyn asked, while rubbing her own forehead & staring intently at mine. 🤔

“You mean these lines?” I asked, laughing, wrinkling my forehead up to exaggerate the crevices that have become constants.

“These are just lines you get when you have lived a while & have had a lot of feelings,” I smiled. 🤷🏼‍♀️

“Well, I want some! How old do I have to be?”

“I started getting mine when I was 25. Maybe you’ll be as lucky...” I said playfully, bopping her on the nose with my finger.

“I HOPE SO, momma. They’re bootiful...”

Most days I blend those lines in with my makeup... but how incredible to think that my daughter perceives them as beautiful and desirable. 🤗

NEVER FORGET that the things YOU might see as flaws are very possibly SO VERY LOVED by the people who matter most. 💕
