A Solution to our Lack of Gym Attendance

Jay, what in the heck is this fitness business and why are you doing it?!

For a majority of my life, I was unsatisfied with the way my body looked. I was never ‘overweight’ but my weight did fluctuate and I never had the muscle tone I knew I was capable of achieving. But, for a long time, I was also not willing to put in the ‘work’ necessary to get the results I wanted.

It wasn’t until my mid to late 20’s that I consistently went to the gym 5 days a week and would also go on runs nearly every day. It was an ongoing challenge to get started, but once I did, I got hooked. I was committed to being fit and eventually was able to get in the best shape of my life.

Shortly after Alyssa and I began dating, the results from working out started to fade away. I became more interested in developing a relationship and spending time with my girlfriend and her daughter (now mine, too) Austyn, than I was interested in spending hours at the gym. My priorities were changing, for the better, but I began to lack the physical fitness piece of my life. 💪

As Alyssa and I were gearing up for our wedding, we were both looking for a way to get more toned, so she could look gorgeous in her wedding dress (which she did) and so that I could look trim in my tux (which I think I did).

Although we were going to the gym 2-3 days a week, we weren’t as committed as we would have liked. It was difficult for us to find time in the day after work, drive across town with a rambunctious 3 year old, and make it back home in time for dinner and any sort of family time.

So we found a solution. A good friend of mine was running monthly challenge groups; helping people stay accountable to their goals, but while having the flexibility to workout from home, for 30 minutes a day (this was much more attainable for us) and be supported by others that are also on their own personal health journeys. We loved the program so much that we continued & Alyssa started incorporating it into her work with her clients... And their results were JUST AS or MORE amazing than ours! 👊

Fast-forward 12 months and it’s still a MAJOR part of our lifestyle. We still workout from home everyday, eating nutritious foods (for the most part) and I’m back to being in amazing shape. The results from this shift are sustaining and long-term. Not only that, but I’ve learned so much about nutrition, which is vital to our overall health! Some people may look good on the outside, but could totally be deficient in certain areas if they’re not fueling their bodies with the proper nutrition. There is no such thing as bad fitness, but there is bad nutrition.

My wife has been amazing about being public with what we have available and as I’ve witnessed incredible results with not only myself but also with the nearly 200 people that we’ve personally helped just in the past year, I realize it would be selfish of me not to share what we have with others. I’m not going to go into details here, but if you’re looking to get back on track with your health and fitness goals, shoot me a PM and let’s connect. 👋

I’m confident we can help you, too!

This week is the last week to sign up for our next upcoming 21 day online challenge group. Let us help you stay accountable. Summer is just around the corner! ☀️️
